Dr. Iyad Albilal

Dr Iyad Albilal is a specialist gastroenterologist with more than 11 years of experience in the field of gastroenterology. He completed his gastroenterology specialization from the Aleppo University Hospital, Syria, and worked in Syria, Mauritania, and Oman.

He has European speciality examination in gastroenterology and hepatology (ESEGH ) and MRCP UK Part 1 and Part 2 written exams.

Dr Iyad is skilled to do EGD (diagnostic and therapeutic), colonoscopy with polypectomy , and abdominal ultrasound , He is also an expert in dealing with a spectrum of diseases affecting pancreaticobiliary and general GI disorders.

He has excellent experience in non-invasive weight management procedures like intragastric balloons( different types like allurion, orbera, and Spatz3), in which he is a certified trainer in Oman for spatz3 FDA adjustable intragastric balloon, doing gastric botox injection and weight loss injections . He has performed more than 500 intragastric balloon procedures.
